Arsenal Handed Major Transfer Boost In Battle To Secure 32M Rated La Liga Star

Sevilla midfielder Joan Jordan is interested in making a move to the Premier League, according to the Sun. The newspaper claims Arsenal are keen on snapping up the Spaniard and the news that he is open to a switch to England will come as a major boost to manager Mikel Arteta.

The Gunners boss is looking to strengthen his options in central midfield, with neither Granit Xhaka nor Dani Ceballos having impressed this season, and it is believed that Jordan is top of the club’s list of January transfer targets.

Although the 26-year-old has a £55m release clause, it is said that Sevilla would be prepared to let the midfielder go for significantly less than that, with the Sun reporting that £32m could be enough to secure his signature.

Whether Jordan would be the creative midfielder Arsenal are looking for, though, it is up for debate. The Spaniard has just three goals and six assists to his name in 66 appearances for Sevilla.
