Arsenal target Ridle Baku is “very open” to leaving Wolfsburg at the end of the season, according to Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg.
Both the Gunners and Chelsea have been linked with the right-back in the German press and, in addition to revealing the player’s transfer stance, Plettenberg has confirmed that Mikel Arteta’s side are keen on securing his signature:
News #Baku: Been told the 25 y/o right back is very open to leave Wolfsburg in summer! Dream destination: 🏴. He’s on the shortlist of @Arsenal confirmed! Interest from 🇪🇸 as well. Possible price tag: Around €15m!

Baku is an attack-minded fullback and you can see why Arsenal would be interested in someone of his profile, considering the options they have in the squad at the moment.
Ben White has been superb playing out of position but he is ostensibly a centre-half, while Takehiro Tomiyasu is a more defensively-minded player as well.
With Plettenberg claiming that Baku could be available for as little as €15m (£13.2m), it does seem like a smart piece of business, especially as he is also a fully-fledged international, having been capped four times by Germany.
