Arsenal Given Massive Boost In Battle To Keep Ceballos, With Agreement Likely For £30m

Arsenal midfielder Dani Ceballos has told Real president Florentino Perez that he is now open to leaving the Bernabeu for the Gunners on a permanent basis, according to El Desmarques.

The Spanish news outlet reports that the 23-year-old had a meeting with Perez last week to discuss his future and he made it known that he wants Real to prioritise negotiations with Arsenal, above other clubs if he is sold next summer.

Ceballos is believed to be pleased with the faith that manager Unai Emery has shown in him, and would be happy for a permanent switch to go ahead.

A transfer fee will need to be discussed as there was no purchase option in his loan move. Real apparently want €40m (£34.4m) for the Spanish international but they could be open to selling for €35m (£30m).

It is a fee that Arsenal may well be open to paying if he continues to perform well between now and the end of the season.
