Arsenal Focus On 19 Year Old Belgium International

With the transfer window just waiting to open, Wenger has put together a long list of players who might help Arsenal in what will clearly be a season dedicated to winning the Premier League. Aside from having to bring in a keeper, a defender, a midfielder and a striker, the Frenchman is also trying to find a solution for the left part of the attack. Even though Podolski announced he will be returning in order to claim his spot in the starting eleven, Wenger is still trying to stop improvising with Cazorla and Ozil and finally bring in a left winger just as efficient as Sanchez. With Walcott keen on transitioning to a position similar to what Messi had before Suarez came to Barcelona, that leaves the left part of the attack wide opened. One solution might come from PSV where rising star Zakaria Bakkali is about to end his deal with the club. According to Squawka, the 19 year old has already refused offers from Sevilla and Valencia who were ready to sign the Belgium international but were told to leave off.

The problem with Bakkali is that he is incredibly hard to manage. Even if Wenger has all the experience in the world, it would be difficult to handle the 19 year old who was denied the chance to work with PSV’s Philipp Cocu because of the way he behaved both on and off pitch. One other issue would be the fact that his preferred side is the right which is dominated by Sanchez. Unless Bakkali is ready to shine as a left winger, there is no real purpose in signing him this summer.
