Arsenal Find Out When Asensio Will Make Transfer Decision As They Target Potential Raphinha Alternative

Real Madrid winger Marco Asensio won’t make a decision on his future before he returns to pre-season training on July 8th, according to AS.

The Spanish publication claims that Arsenal, AC Milan and Juventus are the Spaniard’s three main suitors, with Gunners boss Mikel Arteta said to be a “great supporter” of signing the player.

However, Asensio has yet to make up his mind on whether he wants to leave the Bernabeu. The 26-year-old only has a year left on his contract and he may consider a move to another club in order to get more first-team opportunities.

The winger wants to be a regular starter to ensure he makes Spain’s World Cup squad, and he fears that he may not get the minutes he needs if he stays at Real.

Arsenal are looking to recruit a winger, but their pursuit of Leeds’ Raphinha has hit difficulties after Chelsea hijacked the deal, so Asensio may well be seen as a potential alternative.
