Arsenal Finally Focused On Securing Players Who Want to Play For The Club

Even though it might sound a bit unpleasant, the truth is that some players move to the Premier League just for the money but some come for the opportunity to win big trophies like the PL title or the Champions League. As Wenger pointed out a while back, few come to the UK for the colors of the club when huge amounts of money are thrown at them.

When it`s not about the money, things are different both on and off the pitch. There’s no tension, there’s only the game and the team. Wenger looks to be heading in that particular direction after the whole Alexis Sanchez experience.

The first player who gave the feeling that he is moving to Arsenal for the club and for the manager rather than for the money was Alexandre Lacazette. Even though he is still adapting to the Premier League, you can see he is all about wearing the Gunners’ shirt.

The 2nd player who is following the same pattern is newly signed Henrikh Mkhitaryan who started his Emirates journey by saying he always dreamt of playing for Arsenal. Check out his latest tweet:

He looks like a breath of fresh air for Wenger who will surely have a lot in store for the creative midfielder. It’s very likely to see him play right away which is great news. Currently, there’s no right winger in the squad as Oxlade-Chamberlain and Walcott left this season.

Mkhitaryan will surely work well with Ozil as both are incredibly creative. Lacazette will also benefit from the Armenian’s great assists and vision while the defense will become more secure. He is more than able to cover for Bellerin’s runs which is something that was missing from the side.

Fans seem happy with this signing. The whole Sanchez deal seems to be done with given the fact that, regardless of his class, the Chilean chose money over his word which he reportedly gave to Manchester City in the summer.

If Wenger manages to pull off one more transfer – that of Aubameyang – who also seems keen on playing at the Emirates, Arsenal’s attack will be something to talk about for sure. It might take a couple of months or even the rest of the season but, Aubameyang, Lacazette and Mkhitaryan could surely make history for Arsenal and push them back into the top 4.
