Arsenal fans have took to social media as reports have emerged that they have been linked with a 13-goal Premier League winger.
The Gunners have reportedly shortlisted Brentford winger Bryan Mbeumo over a possible summer transfer in order to take some pressure off Bukayo Saka.
Saka suffered a severe hamstring injury in December during Arsenal’s 5-1 win against Crystal Palace before Christmas, and the Gunners are keen to add some cover for the England international.
Mbeumo has been on fire for Brentford this season, scoring 13 goals in 20 Premier League games for the Bees, making him the joint third-top scorer in the division.
It has been reported that any move for Mbeumo would likely not occur during the January transfer window despite Arsenal’s desire to bring in attacking talent to help Mikel Arteta. A summer move looks more likely for the Cameroon international.
Gunners fans took to X to react to the news that the 25-year-old winger could see a move to the Emirates in the summer…
i mean if Mbeumo comes out and says he wants to take the next step and go to Arsenal, Brentford would allow him to leave for sure, but i wouldnt pay more than £25-30m, Next season hes just a rotation player

i sometimes wonder arteta prioritizes as most important, For a team without a prolific striker. Why not go all out for that? To sign a player who plays off the position of saka wont make sense at this point. Mbeumo won’t come cheap, so, you need a striker.

He’s so underrated and it’s so obvious that Arsenal need a clinical striker.

Arsenal desperate to find Bukayo Saka replacement
Saka has arguably been Arsenal’s best player this season, scoring five goals and 10 assists in the Premier League for Arteta’s side.
However, after he suffered his hamstring injury in December, the Arsenal boss admitted that it could be a long period of time until he’s able to select the England international again.
He said: “He had a procedure. Everything went well. But unfortunately, he will be out for many, many weeks. I think it will be more than two months. I don’t know exactly how much longer.”
As things stand, Saka isn’t expected to return to full fitness until late on in March at the earliest, by which point, the Gunners’ title charge could be all but over. Arteta will hope that they can add another winger during the January transfer window, in order to keep their hopes alive.
