“He Knows What We Need”, “No Pressure” – Arsenal Fans React To Mikel Arteta’s Summer Transfer Window Admission

Arsenal fans have been reacting to comments that Mikel Arteta has made suggesting that this summer is going to be “a big one”.

The Gunners are set for an important summer transfer window as they aim to build a squad that is capable of winning a Premier League title after it looks as though they’ll miss out on the league this season.

They finished second the last two years, and are currently in second place again. Arteta will hope that during the summer, Arsenal can recruit to win the title next season. New Sporting Director Andrea Berta is set to lead the recruitment which is exciting considering his record in the past at Atletico Madrid.

Arteta told Sky Sports on Tuesday morning: “It’s going to be a big one (summer) and we are very excited about it. When you are going to go again, we want to increase the depth of the squad and the quality and the skills that we need to go to the next step.

“Every summer is big because it is an opportunity and especially because of the number of players we have in the squad right now that is necessary. But it’s a big summer for many things because first of all we have to maintain the good foundations that we have and then obviously how can we improve and evolve the team.”

Arsenal fans react to Arteta’s comments

Following Arteta’s interview, Arsenal fans have taken to X to voice their opinion on what the summer transfer window could look like at the Emirates.

What will a big summer look like for Arsenal?

The obvious need for the Gunners is a striker with several players such as Alexander Isak and Viktor Gyokeres heavily linked over a move.

Arteta’s comments hint that they will sign a striker in the summer window, but it is not yet clear as to which one they will pursue. Gyokeres has emerged as the frontrunner in recent days.

The likes of Martin Zubimendi in midfield could also come in as they will need a replacement for Thomas Partey and Jorginho who are both leaving due to contracts expiring.
