Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to share their reactions after the Gunners drew Serie A side AC Milan in the last 16 of the Europa League.
Arsene Wenger’s side were drawn against the Italian giants yesterday morning following their victory across two-legs against Swedish side Ostersunds in the round of 32.
The Gunners won the first leg 3-0, with Nacho Monreal and Mesut Ozil in the scoresheet in an convincing win away from home.
However, Ostersunds upset the odds by prevailing as 2-1 winners at The Emirates on a night to forget in North London. Arsenal progressed 4-2 on aggregate.
Milan had a more straight forward passage to the last 16, winning 4-0 across two-legs against Bulgarian outfit Ludogrets.
Patrick Cutrone, Ricardo Rodriguez and Fabio Borini were on the scoresheet in the first leg, while Borini again hit the winner in Thursday’s 1-0 win.
The draw for the last 16 threw up a number of interesting fixtures. Marseille take on Athletic Bilbao, RB Leipzig face Zenit St Petersburg and CSKA Moscow take on Lyon – however the pick of the bunch is without doubt Arsenal’s clash with Milan.
And after the Gunners dreadful night against Ostersunds in the week, the fans aren’t too hopeful of a place in the quarter-finals …
