Arsenal Failed In Attempt To Sign In Demand PSG Starlet This Summer

Paris Saint-Germain attacking midfielder Yacine Adli turned down a move to Arsenal this summer, according to reports in France.

The 18-year-old had not yet signed a professional deal with the Ligue One club when he is said to have received an offer from the Gunners.

Adli made his senior debut in Unai Emery’s last match in charge at PSG back in May, coming on for the final seven minutes in the 0-0 draw against Caen, replacing another youngster Christopher Nkunku.

He is an Under 19 international for France, and featured at the European Under 19 Championships in July, making three appearances off the bench as his side made it to the semi-final.

Despite Arsenal’s pursuit though, Adli eventually signed on the dotted line at PSG, with the Gunners’ interest effectively forcing the French club into offering a sizeable contract.

The midfielder is now reportedly earning €15,000 per week with a signing on fee of €1million.
