Arsenal Face Easier Run Of Games

Arsenal look set for a successful October with the games that lie ahead of them after the London club faced a run of difficult games from the start of the campaign which has not gone as well as Arsene Wenger would have liked, according to Metro.

The Gunners have been on the back of a difficult start to the Barclays Premier League season, with injuries again becoming a big hurdle in the club’s quest for early season success. Unlike last season where the club were top of the league, all other clubs in the top half have strengthened more than ever through the transfer market in the summer which has led to tougher competition. The Champions League campaign this year has also not been very convincing, but a loss at Borussia Dortmund was covered up by a win against Galatasaray at the Emirates Stadium. Players like Aaron Ramsey who were so influential last season have tried to maintain their form but their run in the side has been disrupted by injuries. Theo Walcott’s long term agony will finally come to an end this year as the attacker returns to the squad after missing out on the end of last season and the World Cup in Brazil.

Wenger will be pleased with the fixture list after the international break that sees the club face Swansea, Manchester United, West Brom, Southampton, Stoke City and Newcastle United.
