Arsenal Eyeing Ceballos Replacement As They Make Enquiry For France International

Arsenal “recently enquired” about Real Betis playmaker Nabil Fekir, according to the Daily Star. It is thought that the Frenchman is being eyed as a potential replacement for Dani Ceballos.

The 23-year-old is only on loan from Real Madrid, and with no option to buy the midfielder, he is likely to return to the Bernabeu, unless an agreement over a permanent deal can be reached.

Fekir would be an interesting replacement, with the France international having been linked with moves to Liverpool and Chelsea in the past couple of years.

The playmaker made the switch to Betis last summer, and he has been in impressive form, having scored seven goals and contributed six assists in 23 appearances for the La Liga club.

Fekir was signed from Lyon for an initial €19.75m (£17.6m) so Arsenal would almost certainly have to exceed that figure in order to secure his signature. The Gunners would probably have to raise the funds through player sales to get a deal done.
