The 21-year-old, Marco Verratti joined the reigning French Ligue 1 champions in the summer of 2012 and has gone on to make over 50 appearances for the club. Despite being a regular under coach Laurent Blanc this season, reports have suggested that he could be sold in the summer.

According to Metro, Arsenal are willing to stump up a healthy £17 million for Verratti, who has yet to open his goal scoring account for PSG. Blanc is reportedly ready to part ways with the midfielder for such a high fee, and he already has the likes of January signing Yohan Cabaye and Javier Pastore as ready replacements.

Arsenal are well-stocked in the creative side of their midfield but could use Verratti in a holding role. Mikel Arteta is not getting any younger and the Italy international could be his ideal replacement.
