Arsenal will be keeping an eye on United States striker Jesus Ferreira at the World Cup, according to reports in the English media.
The 21-year-old scored 18 goals in MLS for FC Dallas this season and he is one of the few home-based players who is travelling with the USMNT out to Qatar.
Ferreira was actually born in Colombia but he came through Dallas’s academy before making his senior debut against Real Salt Lake City all the way back in 2017.
The forward actually scored on his debut but it took him a while to establish himself as a regular starter. He was sent out on loan to Tulsa Roughnecks before returning to become a first-team player during the 2018/19 season.
After making his debut for the USA in February 2020, Ferreira has gone on to win 15 caps for his country, scoring seven goals. The Gunners, along with teams from the Bundesliga, are expected to have scouts watching his performances during the World Cup group stages.
