Arsenal Enter Race For Spanish Star That Chelsea ‘Are Really Interested In’

Arsenal are involved in the race to sign Real Madrid left-back Sergio Reguilon, according to Italian journalist Nicolo Schira.

The Gunners were linked with the Spaniard earlier in the year but Schira says Chelsea are the keenest to snap up the 23-year-old, with Atletico Madrid and Napoli also interested:

Schira isn’t always the most reliable of reporters so take this latest report with a pinch of salt but the involvement of agent Kia Joorabchian means it’s likely that the fullback has been offered to Arsenal.

Reguilon has no future at Real, being behind Ferland Mendy and Marcelo in the pecking order at the Bernabeu, and after a successful loan spell at Sevilla, he will want first-team football next season.

However, with Kieran Tierney and Sead Kolasinac already in the squad, head coach Mikel Arteta is unlikely to consider signing another left-back as a main transfer priority, especially if the London club have a limited budget.
