Arsenal Enter Race For £30m Rated Senegalese Ace

Arsenal are interested in Monaco winger Keita Balde Diao, according to reports in the French media.

The Senegalese international was on loan at Inter Milan last season, and the Nerazzurri had the option to buy the player permanently.

However, the Serie A club felt the €34m (£30m) they would have had to pay was too expensive, and opted to send him back to Monaco.

Keita made 29 appearances for Inter last season, scoring five goals and contributing three assists. He can play on either the right or left wing due to the fact he is two-footed.

The 24-year-old is not in Monaco manager Leonardo Jardim’s first-team plans for next season, and the Gunners have shown an interest in taking him to the Emirates.

Arsenal are looking at a number of possible targets to strengthen out wide, and Keita could be available on loan. Considering the Gunners’ limited budget, he could be an attractive proposition.
