Arsenal Enter Negotiations To Sign 35M Rated Italian Ace On Loan As They Identify Mudryk Alternative

Arsenal have held talks with intermediaries about securing Roma winger Nicolo Zaniolo on loan this month, according to La Repubblica (via RomaPress.net).

The Italian newspaper claims that the 23-year-old is unhappy with his situation at the Giallorossi, with negotiations over a contract extension having stalled.

Zaniolo is, therefore, willing to consider a move to the Emirates, with Gunners boss Mikel Arteta said to be a big fan of the Italian international.

After losing out to Chelsea for Mykhailo Mudryk, the London club have been scouring the market for an alternative and it appears they have found their man.

It is believed that a loan, with an option to buy for €30m (£26m) to €40m (£35m) could be accepted by Roma, which would give Arsenal a perfect opportunity to recruit a promising player without needing to take too many risks financially.

Premier League rivals Newcastle are also thought to be interested, so the Gunners may want to get this deal over the line quickly to avoid a similar situation to Mudryk.
