Arsenal Enter Battle With United For £35m Rated Croatian Star

Arsenal have shown an interest in Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic, according to the Corriere Della Sera.

The Italian newspaper reports that Bayern Munich and Manchester United are also keen, but no club has yet to formally make a bid for the Croatian international.

Perisic revealed a few months ago that he turned down a move to Old Trafford but Inter are now looking to sell the 29-year-old before the transfer window shuts.

The Gunners are believed to be looking at loan deals this month and Perisic would only realistically be a target at the end of the season.

Inter want €40m (£35m) for the Croatian in January but so far it appears no club is interested in taking him.

Arsenal boss Unai Emery expressed his desire for the club to sign a winger at his pre-match press conference yesterday:

“The idea is firstly to find the quality and this quality can help us. We need, if he can come here, a winger for the right or left or some players also at centre back.”

The Spaniard may, however, been hinting at the club recruiting Denis Suarez from Barcelona. The 25-year-old has been heavily linked with a switch to the Emirates but as of yet, no deal has been agreed.
