Arsenal End North London Derby In A Draw

Arsenal fans went through all the emotions possible vs Spurs which they go through in an entire season. You go from being excited to being mad and then back to being excited. You think what could have been if Wenger made more transfers happen then you see Coquelin or Campbell behave like world class players. You question Ozil and then you chant his name after an assist that few saw coming. You think Giroud is somewhat clumsy and then you see how close and how often he gets to score in the most spectacular ways.

Arsenal has a certain beauty to it that few other clubs can deliver. It keeps you on your toes and it reminds everyone how elegant and spectacular the game of football can be even when they end a game in a draw like they did this Sunday. It`s a pity they are missing some key players who could very likely have helped win the match. Unfortunately, the ever so common injury problem that hits Emirates every season has struck again and as much as Wenger insists that Campbell or Debuchy are just as good as Walcott or Bellerin, one cannot help wonder if Walcott would have disappeared from the game just 30 minutes after the first whistle as his replacement seemed to.

After today’s game, Wenger will have to address several lot issues it seems. The biggest issue right now is the right wing were Campbell is not apparently capable of making any major impact. He starts strong but runs out of fuel after 30-40 minutes which is unacceptable. Fortunately, Wenger has some time ahead of the clash against WBA which will take place on the 21st of November. Let’s hope that some of the key players will recover and that those who are out of shape will bounce back and help Arsenal claim first place by the end of the year. Even if some may say it does not matter who scores as long as the team wins points, it would still be better to see Walcott, Ramsey, Wilshere, Welbeck or Oxlade-Chamberlain in the box instead of today’s scorer, Kieran Gibbs.
