Arsenal Dealt Transfer Blow As Brazilian Starlet Rejects Offer And Closes In On £2.7m Inter Move

Arsenal have lost out to Inter Milan for Cruzeiro goalkeeper Brazao, according to reports in Italy.

The Gunners are said to have made an offer to the 18-year-old in the last two days but the shot-stopper has chosen a move to Serie A instead.

Manchester United were also said to be interested in Brazao but Inter have reportedly agreed a €3m (£2.7m) deal for the keeper.

The Nerazzurri are believed to have arranged for the Brazilian to be sent out to Chievo Verona on loan for the remainder of the season. He will then return to the San Siro in the summer.

Chievo will also be given Inter starlet Felice D’Amico as a thank you for using up one of their non-EU spots in their squad.

Brazao is set to join up with his new teammates following the South American Under 20 Championships in Chile where he will keep goal for Brazil.
