Arsenal Dealt Setback In Attempt To Sign £52m Rated Serbian Marksman

Real Madrid have decided to keep Luka Jovic for another year, according to reports in the Spanish media. There had been claims that Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham were interested in snapping up the Serbian if he was deemed surplus to requirements, but it appears he will be staying at the Bernabeu.

The 22-year-old has struggled since his €60m (£52m) switch from Eintracht Frankfurt in the summer, having scored just two goals in 24 appearances for Real.

However, it is felt that Jovic hasn’t been afforded the game-time needed to prove himself, with the forward having only started eight matches this campaign.

With the Serbian international having yet to reach his peak years, Real are reportedly prepared to be patient and allow him more time to develop his game.

It was suggested that a loan move away from the Spanish side could help in that regard, with the Gunners a possible destination, but it seems Jovic will not be moving clubs this summer.
