Arsenal Dealt Major Injury Setback Ahead Of Crucial Liverpool Fixture

Arsenal centre-back William Saliba will not be fit to face Liverpool this weekend, according to The Sun.

The English tabloid claims that the France international has not been able to shake off a back injury that he sustained in the second leg of the Europa League tie against Sporting Lisbon last month.

Manager Mikel Arteta has already said that the club’s medical staff are being careful with Saliba and they are trying to find the best solution so that he can recover full fitness.

It was suggested that he may be available for the trip to Anfield after sitting out the win over Leeds on Saturday but it appears that he will need longer to recover.

There were fears that Saliba could be ruled out for the rest of the season and, while the club are more optimistic that he can get back playing soon, it looks as if he will be sidelined for at least one more game.
