Arsenal Dealt Major Blow As Player’s Entourage Refuse To Discuss 68.4M Transfer

Arsenal have been unable to persuade the entourage of Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic into starting talks over a potential transfer to the Emirates, according to Sky in Italy.

The Gunners are said to have had “positive negotiations” with his club over a January deal, even though the Viola are demanding €80m (£68.4m) for the Serbian international.

However, Vlahovic’s representatives seem very reluctant to discuss a move, indicating that the London club are not considered as an option by the player.

The 21-year-old has scored 10 goals in 13 appearances so far this season, and it appears that Arsenal are keen on building their attack around the forward.

With Alexandre Lacazette expected to leave when his contract expires, and captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang now 32 years of age, a new number nine will be needed soon.

Sky, however, claim that Vlahovic is looking for a “better offer”, with a transfer away from Florence more likely to happen next summer rather than in January. The Serbian has also been linked with Manchester City and Liverpool.
