Arsenal could be without both Alex Iwobi and Stephan Lichtsteiner for the game against Bournemouth, the club have revealed.
Iwobi has suffered a knock to his right ankle and is being assessed by the club’s medical staff ahead of the match tomorrow night.
The Gunners could are also be sweating over the fitness of Lichtsteiner with the Swiss international having a minor back problem that could prevent him from starting versus the Cherries.
One piece of good injury news is that Ainsley Maitland-Niles is fit and ready to make his return to the first-team fold.
The 21-year-old has missed the games against BATE Borisov and Southampton due to illness but is now back in full training.
With Lichtsteiner a doubt and Hector Bellerin out for the rest of the season with an ACL injury, Maitland-Niles’s return will be an important boost for manager Unai Emery.
Rob Holding (knee) and Danny Welbeck (ankle) are long-term absentees and won’t play again this campaign.
