Arsenal Could Use Aubameyang and Guendouzi In Bid To Land French World Cup Winner

Arsenal could consider offloading both Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Matteo Guendouzi in an attempt to sign Barcelona’s Antoine Griezmann, according to the Express journalist Jack Otway.

Barca are reportedly interested in both players so a swap deal could be on the cards if both parties are willing to make it happen.

Gunners head coach Mikel Arteta has frozen out Guendouzi after a series of incidents, and it is likely that the Spaniard would be open to offers for the player this summer.

Aubameyang’s situation is more complicated. Arsenal would love their captain to sign a new contract and remain at the Emirates.

However, they may be forced into selling the 31-year-old in the next transfer window to prevent him from leaving for nothing when his current deal expires in 2021.

Griezmann, meanwhile, has struggled to settle since arriving from Atletico Madrid for €120m last summer, and it is believed that Barcelona could be willing to listen to offers.

The Gunners could face competition from Inter Milan, though, who are also said to be weighing up a move for the French World Cup winner.
