Arsenal Could Sign Star Striker

One of Europe’s most prolific strikers might become a Gunner right after the World Cup in Brazil. According to talkSPORT, Croatia’s former manager, Igor Stimac considers Mandzukic as being one of the best strikers in the world. Despite going somewhat unnoticed while at Bayern Munich, he is quickly becoming one of the most sought after players in the World. Guardiola’s playing style made it hard for the Croatian to stand out. Even if he managed to score a lot of goals he always failed to make the list of Europe’s most desired strikers, with Falcao or Diego Costa being valued at three or four times more than him.

Stimac told the press that the reason for which Mandzukic is leaving Bayern is that Guardiola does not know too much about what the striker needs. Regardless of why he is parting ways with the German side, Arsenal should definitely try signing the 28 year old who spent his last 4 years in the Bundesliga. The biggest issue with Mandzukic is the way he will work with Giroud. The two have a similar profile which could make their collaboration a problem. If the two cannot work together it means one of them should be benched. That is not an option for Giroud which means the Croatian will not become a team regular. With that in mind, he might reconsider coming to North London this summer.
