Arsenal Could Miss Out On 13M Rated Odegaard Alternative As Serie A Giants Approach Player’s Father

AC Milan contacted the father of Feyenoord midfielder Orkun Kokcu yesterday ahead of a prospective transfer, according to Voetbal International.

The Dutch publication reports that the Turkish international is likely to be on the move this summer with Feyenoord having to balance the books due to the impact of the global health crisis.

Arsenal and Chelsea have both been linked with Kokcu over the past year, with the Gunners touted to make a €15m (£13m) bid for the 20-year-old in the Turkish press only a couple of months ago.

It is also believed that both Leicester and Leeds United made enquiries about signing the player on loan during the January transfer window.

However, it seems Milan are the team that have been most active in pursuing Kokcu’s signature, going by Voetbal International‘s claims. Whether Arsenal will opt to step up their own interest, we shall have to wait and see. It’s likely that they’ll only be interested if they can’t secure Martin Odegaard on a permanent deal from Real Madrid.
