Arsenal and Tottenham are both interested in signing Liverpool defender Joe Gomez, according to reports in the UK. The England international is believed to be unsettled at Anfield after not featuring regularly for the Reds this season.
The centre-back started the Community Shield defeat to Manchester City, as well as the opening day win against Norwich City, but he has made just two starts since then in all competitions.
Arsenal are keen to strengthen their options at centre-half, with RB Leipzig’s Dayot Upamecano having recently been linked, while Spurs are looking to freshen up their defence with Toby Alderweireld expected to leave at the end of his contract next summer.
However, the likelihood of Liverpool selling to a Premier League rival is low, and even if they did countenance a move, the asking price is likely to be sky-high, considering the amount Manchester United paid for another England defender Harry Maguire.
