Arsenal Consider £20m Swoop For 25 Year Old As Move For Zaha Falters

Arsenal have turned their attentions back toward Bournemouth winger Ryan Fraser, according to multiple reports in the English media.

The Gunners are said to have had a £40m offer for Wilfried Zaha rejected by Crystal Palace, and they don’t believe a move for the Ivorian international is realistic with the transfer budget at their disposal.

Fraser would be a more economical alternative, with the Scottish international now in the final twelve months of his contract at the Cherries.

Arsenal are believed to be hopeful that a £20m bid would be enough to secure the 25-year-old’s services this summer. Previous reports had suggested Bournemouth were demanding £30m for the wide man but the player’s unwillingness to sign a new deal may force their hand.

Fraser scored three fewer goals than Zaha in the Premier League last season, but he was more creative than the Ivorian, contributing 14 assists compared to the Palace star’s ten.
