Arsenal Closing In On The FA Cup Trophy

Arsenal continue their journey towards winning their first trophy in almost a decade after an impressive 4-1 win against Everton who did put up a fight during the first part of the game but failed to live up to expectations through to the end of the whole 90 minutes.

Ozil was the one with the opener after Cazorla managed a great run down the middle and sent a precise through pass to the German who put the ball in the right corner of Joel’s goal.

The equalizer came after a well thought-out counter-attack which found Everton striker, Romelu Lukaku facing Arsenal’s goal without any opposition.

The Toffees missed out on a great opportunity to take the lead 10 minutes into the second half when Lukaku missed the target by just a few inches. His lack of accuracy proved crucial as the Gunners received a penalty after Oxlade-Chamberlain was brought down by Barry. Arteta was the one to get Arsenal the lead with a well-placed shot in the right corner of the net.

Giroud put the the game to bed after coming on for Sanogo. Sagna made some great runs and sent a great assist to his fellow compatriot who scored his 11th and 12th goals of the season in the convincing win.
