Arsenal Closer To Deal For Iranian?

According to the Daily Star, Rubin Kazan striker Sardar Azmoun has confirmed Arsenal as serious contenders to sign him in the up and coming transfer window, but has also mentioned that talks with AC Milan are also progressing equally well.

Arsenal need to strengthen in all departments in the summer. The current season began with optimism, and the side were leading the Barclays Premier League for the majority of last year, but things have gone downhill for the club in 2014 and their exit from the UEFA Champions League did not help their cause either but they do have the chance to win the FA Cup and salvage the season after their extra-time win over Wigan on penalties.

Injuries and depth in the squad have hurt the side badly when the season reached the condensed part of the schedule, Theo Walcott was the first to be ruled out for the season, and Aaron Ramsey accompanied Jack Wilshere with significant periods on the treatment table.

It has been clear for all to see that the Gunners need more striking depth and Azmoun has been touted as an attacking player to possibly make a move for if you want potential and high-level ability, but with the talent comes competition for clubs in the transfer market. Arsenal will have to fend off interest from AC Milan, and that could mean the Gunners needing to offer a more lucrative deal to the Iranian youngster than their Italian competitors.
