Chile forward Sanchez is keen to leave Nou Camp this summer with Liverpool hot on his trail. They were reportedly willing to let leave Luis Suarez leave Anfield for Spain if Barca include Sanchez in the deal.

However, Arsenal have emerged surprise contenders to sign Sanchez as per this Express report. Although a fee has not yet been touted, the Gunners are seemingly in the lead the chase for his signature.

Arsene Wenger’s side is also close to beating Spurs in the race to sign Morgan Schneiderlin. The 24-year-old is being targeted by his former Saints boss and current Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino, who is keen to bring him to White Hart Lane. Even Liverpool are interested in his services.

However, the report suggests that Arsenal will beat their London rivals to sign the French midfielder. Schneiderlin is keen to play at a higher level and has informed Saints about his ambitions.

He said, “Listen, I’m aware of Southampton’s situation. On a personal level, the club know my position and know what I want to do. I had a good conversation with all the directors.”
