Arsenal Close In On Remy

Manager Arsene Wenger is wasting little time in splashing the cash as he looks to rejuvenate his squad for next season. The capture of Alexis Sanchez from Barcelona was a major transfer coup and sent a message to Arsenal’s rivals for next season.

Arsenal’s main problem last season was the lack of another quality striker and an alternative source of goals, as Olivier Giroud suffered the effects of being the lone frontman for the entire season. Wenger has already purchased the impressive Alexis Sanchez and is closing in on a move for France striker Loic Remy, according to the Independent.

Remy has been linked with the Gunners ever since the forward was spotted in the stands last season when Arsenal beat West Brom. The forward was loaned to Newcastle United last season and scored an impressive 14 league goals in just 26 appearances for the Magpies.

Do you think Wenger should make the £8 million move for Remy?
