Giroud whose current contract is set to expire in 2016 seems tempted to continue with Arsenal despite his recent statements regarding the Gunners playing style. The Frenchman who lashed out a bit at Wenger’s take on football, will probably not think twice when offered a new deal. The 27 year old went through a really tough patch this season with his grandfather dying and also with his family suffering through an unpleasant incident involving some leaked pictures of Giroud allegedly with another woman.

The Frenchman spoke about his contract and said he still has a lot to do at the Emirates. He is not the only one to look forward to next season’s performance as Ramsey, Cazorla and Koscielny have also decided to extend their stay. According to ESPN, Giroud is determined not to stop the winning with the FA Cup. The striker is confident his team can win the Premier League as long as some changes occur. Transfers are definitely needed especially after Bendtner decided to finally leave Emirates.

Arsenal now rely only on Giroud and Yaya Sanogo who is not ready to become a team regular. The 21 year old is currently a bit overwhelmed by his situation at the club. During his 8 appearances during the season, the youngster did not really offer much of an alternative option to Giroud and will not be giving Wenger any selection headaches just yet even though he did not do anything wrong when he played. A new striker is surely on top of Wenger’s transfer list.
