Sami Khedira is among the first players Wenger placed on his transfer list. The German international who is set on facing Brazil in the World Cup semifinals could move to Emirates after the competition is over.

According to Metro, the Gunners made a £23.8million offer for the midfielder and are now awaiting a response from Real Madrid. After failing to find his spot in Ancelotti’s starting line-up, Khedira might be keen on moving to the Premier League. It seems that Arsenal are confident that their offer is more than convincing. Apparently Khedira told friends that he is no longer keen on staying in Madrid after Mourinho’s departure.

Khedira looks like a sure thing considering the generous bid placed by Wenger and also considering the fact that Arsenal have 4 German internationals playing for the team. With Ozil, Mertesacker, Podolski and Gnabry settled in, it is just a matter of time until Khedira will move to London. It is a great advantage Arsenal have over all the other teams interested in the 27 year olds’ signature.

Wenger allegedly instructed Ozil to try and convince Khedira to move to Emirates as the two are best friends. Hopefully for the Gunners, Arsenal’s current midfielder will manage to help his team sign Real Madrid’s midfielder. Chelsea and Atletico Madrid are also keen on signing Khedira who will be making a choice after ending his World Cup sometime during next week.
