Arsenal Are Involved In Four Team Battle For £36m Rated Ex Chelsea Star

Arsenal have once again been linked with a bid for Sassuolo winger Jeremie Boga. Reports in France earlier this month suggested that the Gunners had enquired about the Ivorian, along with twelve other teams.

Now, Italian newspaper La Gazzetta Dello Sport (via Calciomercato.com) claims the Gunners are one of four clubs who are competing to sign the 23-year-old, along with Everton, Napoli and Borussia Dortmund.

Boga was sold to Sassuolo by Chelsea for just £4m last summer, but his valuation his skyrocketed since then due to his performances in Serie A. He has scored 11 goals and provided four assists in 34 league appearances this campaign.

It has led to his club reportedly slapping a €40m (£36m) price tag on the Ivorian international, with it being claimed that they have already turned down a €22m bid from Napoli this summer.

Would Arsenal need Boga? It does seem unlikely, considering they are well stocked on the left-hand side, with the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli.
