Arsenal And United Set For Summer Transfer Tussle For French Midfield Maestro

Bayern Munich are preparing to offload midfielder Corentin Tolisso in the summer, with the likes of Arsenal, Manchester United, Juventus, Napoli and Atletico Madrid all interested in signing the Frenchman, according to Soccer Link.

Reports in Germany suggest that the 25-year-old has not been the same player since he suffered a serious knee injury in September 2018. After failing to impress this season, it is believed Bayern may well cut their losses on the player who cost €41.5m (£35m) in June 2017.

With Dani Ceballos unlikely to stay beyond his loan spell at the Emirates, Gunners boss Mikel Arteta is almost certainly looking for reinforcements in midfield who can provide a greater attacking threat.

Whether Tolisso would provide the spark that the Arsenal head coach needs, it is up for the debate, with the France international having scored three goals and provided three assists in 19 appearances this campaign.

It must be said, though, that the midfielder has only started six league games for Bayern since August, and he could well make a greater impact if he was given more game time at another club.
