Arsenal And United Both Tracking Southampton Outcast Who’s Starring In Turkey

Arsenal and Manchester United are both weighing up moves for Southampton midfielder Mario Lemina, according to Onze Mondial.

The French magazine says that the two Premier League sides have been scouting the Frenchman during his time on loan at Galatasaray.

Lemina has been in excellent form since moving to Turkey, having been a regular starter in the first team following his switch at the start of the season.

It would be a surprise, though, if the 26-year-old was a priority for the Gunners. He is a holding midfielder by trade and head coach Mikel Arteta is not short of options in that area with the likes of Granit Xhaka, Lucas Torreira and Matteo Guendouzi all fit and available.

It could well be that Lemina’s agents are trying to drum up interest in the player. The Gabonese international fell out of favour under Saints boss Ralph Hasenhuttl and he may be trying to engineer a permanent move away from St Mary’s.
