Barcelona winger Malcom has denied reports that he wants to leave the Camp Nou.

The Brazilian has struggled for game time since his summer arrival from Bordeaux, with both Arsenal and Tottenham said to be keen on recruiting the player in January.

However, Malcom has quashed speculation about his future by stating on his Instagram account that he is happy with his situation at Barca:

“I want to clarify, I came to Barcelona with many goals and those who know me know that I am a very determined person.”

“I am very happy with every evolution in my career and I know that with each passing day my dreams and goals are coming true. My family is also very adapted to the city. Anyway, I’m going to keep fighting for everything I want in my career.”

Whether he will continue to be content with his playing time at the La Liga side, it remains to be seen. The 21-year-old has played just 25 minutes in the league this season and has failed to even make the bench on a number of occasions.

Malcom has returned to the matchday squad for Barcelona’s last two games against Inter Milan and Real Madrid, but he was an unused substitute on both occasions.

The injury to Lionel Messi may have offered him hope that he would be selected to play, but with £96m signing Ousmane Dembele also not starting matches, the competition for places is fierce.
