Arsenal And Spurs Vying To Sign £26m Rated Czech Marksman

Arsenal have joined Spurs in pursuing Roma forward Patrik Schick, according to Il Tempo (via Calciomercato.com). The Italian newspaper claims that the Czech international faces an uncertain future following a loan spell at RB Leipzig.

The Bundesliga side have the option to sign the striker on a permanent basis for €29m (£26m) but the current financial climate means they may not be able to afford him.

With that being the case, Roma are looking for other potential suitors, although they are still hopeful they can sell Schick for the same price.

The 24-year-old has been in decent form for Leipzig, having scored eight goals in 21 appearances for the German club, but it remains to be seen whether the Gunners are keen on signing the player permanently.

Both Arsenal and Tottenham are not believed to be in a position to spend big this summer, with loans, free transfers and swap deals likely to be on the agenda instead.
