Arsenal and Liverpool are interested in Wolfsburg winger Josip Brekalo, according to reports in the Italian media.
The Croatian international is believed to be on the radar of the two Premier League clubs, as well as Atletico Madrid, AC Milan and Roma.
Brekalo hasn’t been in particularly good form this season, having scored just four goals and contributed four assists in 31 appearances. However, he is only 22 years of age, and he is expected to improve over the coming years, so the Gunners may be looking to take a chance on him now while he is still relatively affordable.
Transfermarkt value Brekalo at around £10.8m but the Croatian will likely be sold for a fee higher than that, especially if other clubs get involved in the battle to sign him.
In terms of his playing style, the winger is stronger on his right foot and generally favours cutting in off the left flank, although he can also play from the right-hand side.
