Arsenal And Everton ‘Ready To Bring’ Ex Liverpool Star Back To England But There Is A Catch

Arsenal and Everton are both “ready to bring” Barcelona’s Philippe Coutinho back to the Premier League this summer, according to Tuttomercatoweb.com.

The Italian website claim the two Premier League teams are keeping a close eye on the former Liverpool player, with Barca expected to sell him with two years remaining on his contract.

However, there is one thorny issue that could scupper Coutinho’s return to England. The Brazilian is currently sidelined with a knee injury and he has undergone an operation that could keep him out for several months.

TMW report that the Gunners may have to wait until July to determine how well the rehabilitation has gone, and whether he’ll be ready to play at the start of next season.

Manager Mikel Arteta is keen on signing a playmaker this summer, but reports suggest that Real Madrid’s Martin Odegaard and Norwich’s Emi Buendia are his two main priority targets, so it is not known where Coutinho fits into his plans.
