Arsenal and Manchester City have both “shown interest” in signing Real Madrid centre-back Eder Militao, according to Don Balon.
The Spanish rumour-mongers report that the Brazilian has failed to impress since his €50m (£44m) move from Porto last summer, and there are doubts among other members of Real’s first-team squad that he is to up to the standard required.
Militao has only started seven league games this season, with manager Zinedine Zidane having made Raphael Varane and Sergio Ramos his first-choice centre-back pairing.
The Gunners and City both reportedly see the 22-year-old as having massive potential and Don Balon claim the Premier League sides have made it known to Real that they are willing to take the player off their hands.
However, the La Liga side are worried about being left short at the back. If Militao were to depart, it would leave Nacho as the only other centre-back who could cover for Ramos and Varane.
