Arsenal are one of the clubs pursuing Manchester United midfielder Andreas Pereira, according to UOL Esporte.

The Brazilian publication reports that the Gunners have already enquired about holding negotiations for the 22-year-old.

Pereira’s contract at Old Trafford expires at the end of the season, but United do have the option of extending his deal for a further year.

The Brazilian international is said to be reluctant to sign an extension beyond that, and Arsenal could make a move for the midfielder in January.

However, they will face stiff competition for the player with Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain and Valencia also reportedly interested.

Pereira joined United from PSV Eindhoven’s academy in 2012 and has gone on to make 18 first team appearances.

He started the first two Premier League games of the season against Leicester City and Brighton but since then he has barely featured, making his last appearance as a substitute against Chelsea in the 2-2 draw back in October.
