Arsenal have sent scouts to watch Bayer Leverkusen striker Patrik Schick in recent months, according to 90min.com.

The website says that four other Premier League teams, including West Ham, Everton, Tottenham and Manchester City have also been tracking the Czech international.

Schick has been in extremely impressive form for Leverkusen this campaign, having racked up 16 goals in only 14 league appearances and, with the Gunners looking for a new forward, it appears they are considering the 25-year-old as a potential option.

The Czech star won’t come cheap, though, with 90min.com reporting that Leverkusen could demand “in excess of £50m” for the player, although a summer deal is thought to be likelier than a January transfer.

That would still be cheaper than another target, Fiorentina’s Dusan Vlahovic, who is said to be valued at around €80m (£67.3m), while Everton’s Dominic Calvert-Lewin may also cost more. Whether Arsenal will step up their interest in Schick, we shall have to wait and see.
