Arsenal and Roma are currently the two “stand  out” clubs looking to secure the services of Shakhtar Donetsk winger Mykhaylo Mudryk, according to Fichajes.net.

The Spanish rumour mongers claim that the Gunners have been joined by Jose Mourinho’s side as favourites to snap up the Ukrainian international.

They say the Serie A club are willing to put €30m (£26m) on the table for Mudryk when the transfer window reopens in January, but Shakhtar are expected to hold on to the player until the summer when they believe they can sell him for €50m (£43.6m).

The 21-year-old has impressed during the Champions League group stages, having scored twice and contributed two assists in four matches so far.

Mudryk is blessed with a great deal of pace, as well as possessing excellent dribbling ability, and he could be a good addition to Mikel Arteta’s squad with Gabriel Martinelli needing competition for his place on the left wing.
