Arsenal have registered an interest in Rennes striker Georginio Rutter, according to reports in the French media. The 18-year-old has less than one year left on his contract with the Ligue One outfit and his situation has come to the attention of many teams.
In addition to the Gunners, Newcastle, Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig and AC Milan have all made enquiries about the teenager, who has yet to decide whether to leave at the end of his current deal with his club.
Rutter is not looking for regular game time at Rennes but he wants to, at least, feature in manager Julien Stephan’s first-team plans before opening discussions about extending his contract.
The forward has come to the attention of scouts after his performances for Rennes Under 19s in the UEFA Youth League last campaign, and he has also impressed when playing for France at Under 16, Under 17 and Under 18 levels.
