Arsenal Among Seven Teams Pursuing Polish Teenage Sensation Filip Marchwinski

Arsenal are one of seven clubs keeping close tabs on Lech Poznan attacking midfielder Filip Marchwinski, according to Calciomercato.com.

Inter Milan, Juventus, Atalanta, Borussia Dortmund, Hoffenheim and Ajax are also in the mix for the 18-year-old whose performances in Poland this season have come to the attention of watching scouts.

Marchwinski generally plays as a number ten, but he can also play as a ‘false nine’ making him a versatile player who Gunners boss Mikel Arteta could certainly make great use out of.

The Polish Under 19 international only made his senior debut in December 2018, scoring in a 6-0 win over Zaglebie Sosnowiec after coming on as a substitute.

Marchwinski gradually established himself as a first-team player as the 2018/19 season came to a close, and this campaign he has played 13 games in all competitions, scoring three goals.

Arsenal have been linked with another attacking midfielder in Feyenoord’s Orkun Kokcu in recent weeks, and it does appear the club are searching for a long-term replacement for Mesut Ozil. The German’s contract expires at the end of next season.
