Arsenal Among Four Teams Pursuing Out Of Contract Wolves Defender

Arsenal have joined the race to sign Wolves defender Owen Otasowie, according to the Sun. Liverpool, Schalke and Paris Saint-Germain are also believed to be keen on the 18-year-old.

PSG’s interest comes off the back of impressing against the French team during the Premier League International Cup, while the Gunners are keen to capitalise on the player’s contract situation.

Otasowie’s current deal expires in June, and after impressing at Under 23 level, as well as in the EFL Trophy, it seems Arsenal could well make their move for the youngster.

The centre-back can also play as a holding midfielder, having played in the position for the full 90 minutes in the Under 21s’ game against Blackpool’s senior side, during an EFL Trophy group match earlier this month.

Otasowie is also in demand at international level, with the teenager able to play for either the USA, Nigeria or England.  He has already played for the United States Under 18s but he is free to switch allegiance.
