Arsenal have held talks with the representatives of Eintracht Frankfurt winger Jesper Lindstrom, according to Bild.
The German tabloid claims that the Gunners are already stepping up their plans to secure the Danish international’s services for the January transfer window ahead of their rivals.
It was reported last week that Mikel Arteta’s side were interested in Lindstrom, but it is believed that the likes of Manchester City, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Roma, Juventus and AC Milan have also been keeping tabs on the player.
The 22-year-old was a key figure in Frankfurt winning the Europa League last season, and he has had a decent start to this campaign, with three goals in 10 appearances so far.
Arsenal are keen on strengthening their options in attack and, with Lindstrom capable of playing right across the front line, he would undoubtedly be a very useful squad option. It remains to be seen, though, whether the Gunners will win the race for his signature.
